Editor-in-Chief, Paris Match

Born in Paris in 1962, Olivier Royant, Editor-in-Chief of Paris Match, is a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies and holds an MBA from New York’s Columbia University.  He began his journalistic career at the Paris-based radio station, Radio Gilda in 1982 before becoming a staff reporter at Paris Match in 1985, and a senior writer in 1986. In 1987, he was named permanent correspondent to the United States where he spent 10 years in New York covering all aspects of American society. In 1998, he returned to Paris to become the magazine’s Executive Editor. He was co-producer of Match Magazine a monthly news magazine hosted by Alain Genestar, and was co-author of September 11, 2001, the War, an investigation on the attack of humanity and the author of John, Le Dernier des Kennedy  Since becoming Editor-in-Chief  in 2006, Paris Match has received the prestigious French Magazine of the Year award twice, in 2008 and 2012.
