A brand is the aggregate of its experience. In an age where most entities' initial interactions with people occur in digital media, the design of that interaction is more critical than ever: Just ask Snapchat, who found themselves unable to scale after crafting an interface that acts as a barrier to anyone over 25 (and had to watch their stock drop like a rock after an IPO).
This is a brief talk on how and why your interface is your brand, and how the UX process converges with brand strategy, and what it means for publication design. The old tools you know aren't so different from the new tools used by major brands like Facebook, Airbnb and Twitter, and they can improve your publication and your brand.
