MagNet 2018 is Here!
MagNet Starts Tomorrow!
Canada’s largest annual magazine media conference kicks off tomorrow! Whether you’re with us in person or following the action online, it’s going to be an exciting week as magazine professionals from across the country arrive in Toronto to hear from our industry’s leaders and innovators.
How to Get to MagNet
MagNet is happening at the Courtyard Toronto Downtown (475 Yonge Street). The venue is within walking distance of the Yonge and College intersection and is easily accessible by public transit. Find driving directions and further travel details on the Courtyard Toronto Downtown website.
When you arrive, please proceed to the registration table past the lobby, to the right. Here’s the Courtyard Downtown floor plan.
Arrive half an hour before your first session starts to allow yourself time to pick up your name-badge, grab a coffee, browse MagNet Square and find your session room.
Haven’t registered for MagNet yet? It’s not too late! We love walk-ups.
On-site registration opens at the Courtyard Toronto Downtown at 8 am on Wednesday, April 25.
Keep Up with the Action
If you can’t make it to MagNet, don’t worry—there are great resources for MagNeteers following along at home or the office! We’ll be posting during the conference on Twitter @MagsCanada, and photos, videos and insights from the sessions will be flying at the #MagNet18 hashtag. Follow along for conference updates.
After MagNet, you’ll find session presentations, photos and speaker interviews at magnet.magazinescanada.ca/multimedia.
Psssst… Great Prizes at MagNet Square
Each day at lunch one lucky MagNeteer will win a prize courtesy of our sponsors. Drop your business card in the bowl in MagNet Square to win a Mophie wireless charging base courtesy of Reader’s Digest or an Amazon Echo Show courtesy of MagHub.
MagNet Square is THE place to network. Coffee breaks, buffet lunches, receptions, awards and, of course, the Marketplace exhibitors will all be in this one lively spot! Receptions and coffee breaks are complimentary, but you must register for the delicious buffet lunches. Don’t worry, you can do this on site if you haven’t registered for the lunches yet.
Representatives from the Canada Council for the Arts, the Department of Canadian Heritage and the Ontario Media Development Corporation will each have a table in MagNet Square. Come out and meet the funders to discuss their programs and ask your questions.
See you at MagNet!
